Don’t hold me up now, I can stand on my own ground

“Look, Charlie Brown, let's face it. We all know that Christmas is a big commercial racket. It's run by a big eastern syndicate, you know.”

You know what I love best about Christmas? Everyone freaking out about it. I mean, if we all had our presents wrapped on time and had plenty of tape on Christmas eve, and didn’t spill one thing on our Christmas clothes, Christmas morning, it just wouldn’t be any fun! It’s kind of a symbol of the Christy day. Rush rush rush, stress stress stress, tape tape tape! It just adds to the wonderful green-and-red-everything-smelling-like-christmas-trees-and-gingerbread occasion. If we didn’t stress about at least one thing at Christmas, it would be the same as not even celebrating it.

My Christmas[because I know you want to hear all about it right?] was quite Christmas-y. Christmas eve was spent with Bethany, opening gifts from her and then returning the gifts. I was gifted with a cute green bag that I’m already using. It’s actually more pursey, but I refuse to carry a purse. Hence, it is now a bag. And also some cute slippers. I retaliated her gift with a pair of socks[everyone on my gift list got a pair of socks this year, except the guys because cool guy socks are non-existing] and some undies and some soft sleep pants and, of course, candy. I’m so great. I love that chick.

Christmas day I was awakened at 8:30 and told that my siblings weren’t waiting for me to get up, they were opening gifts right now. So I drug myself out of bed with the image of coffee in my head and woke up a little by downing some of that good black stuff. I might not have mentioned this, but this year instead of my parents getting us presents, we were saving for a nice TV, so we don’t have to use the projector anymore. Surprise! We now own a nice 46” TV, and [drumroll] a Wii! I wish I had a dime for every family that got a Wii this Christmas but all the same, I’m glad to have it. My dad bought the Lego Batman game and they’re working out the kinks in the game now. I have officially become a Wii player, because I have Wii-Arm! I’m telling you, playing WiiTennis is hard! My biceps[little ones that I have] are hurting haha. And I feel like a totally weenie. From my siblings I received the shelf I wanted for my room! And the third book in the Eragon series. YAY ME! I gave in return, to Micaela: a side table that she’s been wanting. Josiah: a bunch of knights in a brand that happen to be expensive and nice. Jeremiah: a cool saw thing and some little things. Coffee for mom and clothes for dad. It was a bountiful Christmas. Thank God. Literally. Oo! OOO! Word look up time!

Literally- in a way based on the basic or explicit meaning of a word or text.

Fun pickles!

Pickles is my word of the week by the way. Cool pickles, aw pickles, Just “Pickles” in general.

Christmas at grandma’s! oh that was fun. We draw names at my grandma’s and my cousin Joshua got my name and I was happily presented with a pair of black and white chucks! Oh yeah. I’m happy. My grandma got me the coolest green hoodie shirt; I can’t wait to wear it! Thanks family! I’m trying to find the words to convince my uncle Randy that his mini-mullet is not very dashing but it’s just my hate of mullets, not him that’s making it look bad. And Dillon is home for Christmas until January 30! Yay! You remember, my only cousin my age is in Georgia every other year. Dillon is going to college and is like… um 19? Yeah I think that’s right. He’s cool. He’s funny. And he’s also Italian so he has dark skin like me. He’s pretty famous for his hard tickling. Man, he leaves gouges when he tickles! I’ve got many a scar from that boy. Just kidding, but he does tickle hard. At least I can stay standing now days, last couple of years he’s taken me to the ground. And my grandparents have tile floors! But I love Dillon. He’s great. [he’s also an aggie. =P Boo!]

Christmas with Joel was later, he gave me a one of those digital picture frames and it’s really cool. I got him some poison ivy spray, because he’s always getting poison ivy at our house, and a machete cause he broke his at our house. Haha, he would probably be better off if he stayed away from our house but that won’t happen cus we love ‘em.

I want some potatoes.

Vrolijk Kerstfeest en een Gelukkig Nieuwjaar!
